School is out and while the sun may not be shining, the feeling of summer is stirring in the hearts of families everywhere. Late nights on the patio, early morning birds chirping, the smell of summer storms, sounds of baseballs ricocheting off of metal bats and of course, roller skating.
Roller skating isn’t always the first activity that comes to mind in the summer, but it doesn’t mean that it isn’t a great way to spend your summer days and nights. Roller skating is great exercise that the whole family can participate in and if you are anything like me, air conditioning is always a plus. And one thing about Kansas that we can all count on, is not counting on the weather to stay consistent. Another great reason to spend your summer roller skating.
Maybe you don’t like roller skating, or you have a child that just isn’t quite ready. Thankfully, Carousel Skate Center is home to Wichita’s largest indoor playground and the arcade is only growing. Just last week, a Wichita State University themed basketball game found its home at Carousel-and there is already a tough to beat high score set.
